They are not same.
A NOPRINT line item is used to apply cost against an order for commission purposes only. It does not print anywhere and does not affect any General Ledgers. This can be used to incur cost on the order when there is not an actual vendor’s invoice involved.
Any line item that does not have a price can be excluded from printing on customer copies by un-checking the box in the middle of the line item screen that read Print on Ack. This item and its cost will be printed on office and vendor copies. It will affect the General Ledger, reducing the drop ship account and increasing cost of goods sold. This method should be used when you are vouching an invoice against your drop ship account.
